Why Replace Your Thermostat?
- Prevent Overheating: A stuck-closed thermostat will cause rapid engine failure and warped heads.
- Improve Efficiency: A stuck-open thermostat prevents the engine from reaching operating temp, leading to poor fuel economy and carbon buildup.
Mechanic's Note: When replacing your thermostat, always inspect your coolant hoses and radiator cap for signs of aging. We recommend flushing the system with fresh 50/50 distilled water and coolant to ensure no air pockets remain in the head.
