This Shin Yea Extreme High Torque Starter Motor is built for modified GY6 125/150cc engines (152QMI and 157QMJ, based on the Honda GY6 design) running 150cc up to 232cc. If you've installed a big-bore kit, stroker crank or high-compression head and your stock starter groans, clicks or just can't spin the engine over, this high torque starter gives your build the extra cranking force it needs to fire up reliably.
Fits short case and long case GY6 engines. Check the engine code stamped on your engine case before ordering.
This starter draws much more current than a stock motor. To avoid burning out the brushes or the starter relay, upgrade your electrical system before installing:
